J. MAHON returns to 8MM with a live performance with FULL BAND for the SYNWEEK - a week of events leading up to the festival - Wednesday the 8th of November.

Originally growing up in Far North Queensland, Australia, Mahon has played and toured in bands since 2013 with releases on Rough Trade Records in the UK and Liberation Records throughout Australia. In
2019 Mahon moved to Berlin to be located in Europe and to be closer to the UK for touring. Having released music under the pseudonym Emerson Snowe for the past 5 years, released 5 albums and 13 EPs, in
2023 Mahon gained the confidence to release all future work under his name.
Already in 2023 Mahon has signed with UK booking agent Runway Artists, played support tours with Tess Parks, Ulrika Spacek and Oscar Lang and is set to support Flat Worms and John Moods in Germany.
Mahon has also released 4 singles and achieved radio support by
BBC6 in the UK, alongside plays on independent radio stations worldwide. 2023 also marks the release of his debut album
'EVERYTHING HAS A LIFE.
With a sound similar to The Sleepy Jackson with audible influences spanning between Sparklehorse, The Magnetic Fields and Sufjan Stevens to Patti Smith, Mahon creates a mixture of Indie Rock and Freak Folk through to Psych Country.
