Our Broken Land is Hákon Aðalsteinsson's first book and to celebrate its release on the 7th of November, there will be a gathering at 8mm bar with a reading and live music from Gunman and The Holy Ghost.
The novella, published by Far West Press, is a story of a recluse who has given up on the world, but with newfound strength decides to go on a search for new meaning.
The world has changed and the bleak state of society brings unforeseen situations on his trip through a run down city in a broken land.
Gunman and The Holy Ghost has existed within the Berlin music scene for over 10 years in various shapes and forms. On the night Hákon, accompanied by long time collaborator Robin Hughes, will play a stripped down set of Gunman songs in a first live performance from the band since the release of third album 'The Death of Gunman And The Holy Ghost' last year, copies of which will also be available.
Followed by DJ sets from Craig Dyer (The Underground Youth) and Lilly Creightmore (Trip Documentary)
