Over the last five years, Black Maracas have built a strong live reputation across Europe and the Americas, despite how difficult it is to categorize their music: within a single concert, they can naturally move between fuzz, blues, garage rock, and psychedelia. In recent months, they have toured Europe, South America, and the United States, performing at major festivals such as Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival, Seattle’s Freakout Festival, and Austin’s Levitation—two of the most renowned rock events in the world. They have shared the bill with artists who have influenced the band, including Night Beats, The Dandy Warhols, The Black Angels, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
In 2026, the band opens a new chapter with “Dilly Child Early Mournings,” a record far more intimate than its predecessor and created from a different perspective. It is no longer angry at the world; what it conveys is not rage, but grief that ultimately leads to acceptance. While it continues to explore themes of frustration, personal experiences, disillusionment, and lost love, it does so with a gentler outlook. This results in more carefully crafted lyrics and more harmonious music, drawing from the traditions of Americana, folk, and country.
