Lathe of Heaven is a Brooklyn-based post-punk band blending darkwave, new wave, and gothic atmospheres into a cinematic, introspective sound. Following their acclaimed 2023 debut Bound by Naked Skies, the group returned in 2025 with Aurora (Sacred Bones Records), expanding their palette with richer synth textures and lyrical themes exploring memory, resistance, and human consciousness. Their music channels both the urgency of classic 1980s post-punk and a distinctly modern emotional depth, cementing them as one of the most exciting voices in today’s dark alternative scene.
