8MM presents: NO ROMANCE - LIVE

With deft hands and tear-blurred eyes, Berlin-based No Romance spin a bewitch-ing tapestry; balancing darkness with dancefloor-ready music that draws as much from the electronic-fueled nightclubs of their adopted home of Berlin as from the rich shoegaze and gothie post-punk lineage o{their native UK and New Zealand.

No Romance was formed in 2019 as a sonic collaboration between UK born Gold-smiths Pop Music graduate Lucy Holliday (she/her), and New Zealanders IsaacHickey (they/them), and Joel Ivan Thomas (he/him). In 2021, Californian bassist and synth player Hannah Gonzalez (she/her) joined the ranks.
Their debut EP Unfold received international radio play and blog coverage, and their live show has been recognized locally for its innovative sound.
