Also known as one half of internationally renowned indie rock duo Gurr, Laura Lee steps back into the limelight, this time as chief songwriter and front woman of Laura Lee & the Jettes. Surrounding herself with some of Berlin's finest musicians, and working with praised producer Max Rieger, Lee's new project strikes some more mature and underground tones. The album's first single, the only German song on the record, was inspired by NEU!, Kraftwerk, and Can, as well as various bands who have similarly recycled and updated these sounds.
